Nail Surgery

We offer a minor surgical solution for permanently removing ingrowing toenails. Here are the key points about the procedure:

  • Carried out under local anesthesia to ensure comfort during the surgery.

  • Healing typically takes between 4 to 6 weeks, with the possibility of longer recovery times depending on the individual patient.

  • Weekly re-dressings are necessary to monitor healing progress and ensure proper wound care.

  • The procedure involves the removal of the troublesome nail edge(s) and the application of a chemical to prevent regrowth.

  • This is a straightforward procedure performed under local anesthesia.

  • It's important to arrange transportation home from the appointment, as the effects of the anesthesia may persist for several hours, potentially invalidating insurance coverage if you drive yourself.
