Verruca's

Verruca's are small skin lumps on the feet caused by a virus. They typically manifest as rough bumps with tiny black dots underneath the skin. While verruca's usually resolve on their own without causing harm, seeking treatment can be advisable if they become painful or spread.

Verruca

At Essex Podiatry Clinics, we offer three different treatments for Verruca's:

  1. Acid Treatment:

    • This involves weekly treatments using a strong acid solution, which is more potent than over-the-counter options.

    • The treatment requires keeping the dressing dry for up to 3 days to ensure effectiveness.

  2. Cryo-Therapy (Freezing Technique):

    • Cryo-Therapy involves monthly treatments using liquid nitrogen, a stronger option than what's available over the counter.

  3. Swift (Microwave Technology):

    • Swift is a cutting-edge treatment utilizing microwave technology to target Verrucas.

    • For more detailed information about this treatment, please see "advanced treatments" tab.

Each treatment option offers unique benefits and may be recommended based on individual circumstances and preferences. Our team at Essex Podiatry Clinics is dedicated to providing effective solutions tailored to your specific needs.
